Android P beta update based on EMUI 9.0 announced for selective Huawei phones


After getting unveiled the latest Android version called Pie, smartphones OEMs has started working to push the latest update to its consumers. Google’s own pixel series and Essential PH-1 has already started getting the stable Android P update. Yesterday, we had reported that Xiaomi has launched Android P Beta Programme for Mi Mix 2S and already started pushing the latest ROM in China. Now, another Chinese manufacturer Huawei confirms the Android Pie Beta update based on EMUI 9.0, the company’s president confirms via its official Weibo account teasing a poster.

According to the poster, Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Huawei P20, Honor 10, and Honor V10 starts receiving EMUI 9.0 based on Android P (Beta) update simultaneously. The first round will push the Android P beta version only a small number of users, later it will be released to the rest of users. At present, only beta ROM is available and there are no words made regarding the stable ROM, but it should take some time before the final release.

Furthermore, It will worth noting that EMUI 9.0 skin has already been released and brings some new features added over the old EMUI, including new full-screen gestures and battery optimization tweaks. Apart from that, Huawei Mate 10, Mate RS Porsche Edition, P20 Pro, Honor Play these four models will soon be qualified for Android 9.0 operating system.
