Asus at an event in New Delhi on Wednesday launched the ZenFone 3 Max in India, in two variants ZC520TL and ZC553KL.

The ZenFone 3 Max (ZC520TL) bears a 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T SoC bundled 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. For optics, it bears a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. It packs 32GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB).

For connectivity, the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v4.0, Micro-USB, and FM radio. It sports a accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. The smartphone measures 149.5×73.7×8.55mm and weighs 148 grams.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL

Moving to ZC553KL variant, it features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 (octa-core, clocked at 1.4 GHz) SoC coupled with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. It comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash, apart from an 8-megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an 84-degree wide-angle lens.

For storage, it has 32GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB). The smartphone weighs 175 grams, and measures 151.4×76.24×8.3mm. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v4.1, Micro-USB, and FM radio. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.

Both the run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Zen UI 3.0, have a fingerprint sensor on the back and pack a 4100mAh battery with reverse charging to charge other devices.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Max comes in Titanium Gray, Glacier Silver and Sand Gold colors and is priced at Rs. 12,999 for the base (ZC520TL) variant and goes on sale from major online and offline retailers across India such as Flipkart starting today. The high-end Zenfone 3 Max version (ZC553KL) costs Rs. 17,999 and will be available by the end of November.
