Redmi Note 4 (India) vs YU Yureka Black

YU Televentures has launched YU Yureka Black in India for 8,999 INR. At this price point, it directly compete with Xiaomi Redmi 4 which also comes with similar specs to Yureka Black. In this article, we will discuss about both the smartphones on different aspects. However, Micromax sub-brand is making comeback after long time. Last time, we have seen launch from YU in 2014 which was original Yureka smartphone. Let’s start without any further wastage of time !

YU Yureka Black vs Xiaomi Redmi 4

Display and Design

Xiaomi redmi 4 features 5.0 inches 720p HD display while protection is unspecified. On the other hand, YU Yureka Black comes with same 5.0 inches display but with higher 1080 x 1980p Full HD resolution and company clearly mentioned that it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. In terms of display, Yureka has definitely edge over Redmi 4 and provides batter on board specs.

Moving to design, The Yureka phone is designed nicely with glossy back metal design. Though, Redmi  4 also feels good , as far as design is concerned. But it definitely fall behind then Yureka. The Redmi 4 comes with typical look we are seeing in every smartphone whereas Yureka provides somehow different feel.

Hardware 

Xiaomi  4 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset and Yureka packs Snapdragon 430 SoC. Although, not much different comparatively, both the processors are identical to each other and comes with same 1.4 GHz clock speed. Redmi 4 slightly batter in terms of processing power.

For storage, you have to compromise with Yureka as it comes with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM while Redmi 4 has 64GB internal storage variant which will Rs. 2,000 more then its rival. But, at least you have option to choose higher storage variant. If we look at price, then Yureka given some extra value as it comes with 4GB RAM while Xiaomi is giving 3GB RAM at same price. Both the smartphones come with all the necessary connectivity options. But i have doubt on Gyro sensor in Yureka black because company didn’t mentioned neither on its official site nor on Flipkart.

Camera and Software

Camera department is very crucial but we have not seen any good camera smartphone sub 10k price segment. But Xiaomi redmi 4 given some decent amount of shots, even batter then Redmi Note 4 in some areas. Both the smartphones looking similar on specs sheet having 13MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter for Redmi 4 whereas Yureka has 8MP selfie camera and same 13MP rear camera.

We can’t judge smartphone camera without taking hand on it. Before making any decision, we have to use it in real world scenarios.

The Yureka Black smartphone runs on Android 6.0 out of the box and company promises to give Android nougat update very soon. On the other hand, Xiaomi redmi 4 also running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. But we are note so sore about its next update, even Redmi Note 4 is still running on Android 6.0.1.  But Xiaomi’s software support is way batter than Micromax smartphones. In software field, no big difference in both smartphones but Yureka Black will be winner if it successfully delivers Nougat update in next one month.

Battery

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 packs massive 4100 mAh battery which can easily last for 1 and half day. It comes with traditional charger with 5v/2amp which takes about 2-3 hours to charge full battery. In terms of battery, there is no real competition in these smartphones as Yureka has only 3000 mAh battery without any fast charging support. Even display can also make big impect as Yureka’s Full HD display will consume more power. In battery field, Xiaomi Redmi 4 is a clear winner without any doubt.

Conclusion

Both the smartphones have their own pros and cons but Xiaomi has gained big trust and brand value. Looking at YU’s history, i will choose Redmi 4 over Yureka black. But you are looking a decent phone with good specs then you have to go for Yureka Black. Also their are waves in market by claiming that YU is copy of Wiki U Feel Prime but still it is providing good value for money. If i have to pick i will go for Redmi 4. However, it is my personal choice, you can also pick Yureka as it is not a bad choice either. What you think? let me know below in comment sections.
