Yesterday, we had reported about Gionee’s forthcoming device named as M7. Today, the company official confirms that the device will be announced on September 25 in Beijing at 15:00 GMT, teasing full display design. Besides, the company is holding an another event on September 28 in Thailand, where M7 Power will be unveiled, considered as a higher-end version of M7 with either a bigger battery or larger display. These devices have been rumored to bring 18:9 ratio display, even, the company confirms on M7 Power’s poster, that was revealed a few days back.
Getting back to the original variant, A recent GFXBench listing revealed that M7 will be featuring 6.0-inch 1080 x 2160p Full HD+ display. The smartphone is tipped to be backed by the latest 2.3GHz MediaTek Helio P30 SoC paired with ARM Mali-G71 GPU. Regarding the storage, it would be holding 64GB internal storage coupled with 6GB RAM, as per listing. Moreover, It runs on Android 7.1.1, Nougat.The rear camera is expected be with a 16MP sensor with up to 4K video recording whereas, the front camera is likely to handle by an 8MP sensor, which is restricted up to 2K recording.
To recall, Gionee M6 was announced last year with 5.5-inch Full HD display, MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 processor integrated Mali-T860MP2 GPU, 64/128GB storage coupled with 4GB RAM, 13MP rear, 8MP front cameras combo, Android Marshmallow and whooping 5,000 mAh battery out of the box.
