Huawei has launched two new smartphones namely Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus in China as expected. These smartphones will replace  last year’s Nova and Nova Plus. Both the smartphones mainly targeted for camera centric audience as the come with very good looking on board camera specs.

Huawei Nova 2

The huawei Nova 2 sports 5 inches 1080p Full HD display with  2.5D curved glass on front. It is powered by  Kirin 659 processor (Octa-Core CPU) with MaliT830-MP2 GPU under the hood. As far as storage is concerned, it has built in 64GB built-in storage coupled with 4GB RAM. For optics,  It comes with Dual rear camera: one with 12MP rear camera with LED flash, PFAF, 1.25μm pixel size, f/1.8 aperture while secondary is 8MP shooter for capturing depth information and digital zoom. It has 20MP selfie shooter on front to capture cool selfies.

It runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat)  EMUI 5.1 skin on top. Fingerprint sensor is embed on rear under camera. The handset is backed by 2950 mAh non-removable battery to keep the lights on. Like others Chinese phones, the device comes with hybrid slot solution which means either you can use two SIM cards or a SIM and micro SD card to add extra storage to save more files.

Huawei Nova 2 Plus

The huawei Nova 2 Plus has very identical specs to Nova 2 except display and battery. It features larger 5.5 inches 1080p Full HD display with 2.5D glass on front. The handset packs same Kirin 659 processor (Octa-Core CPU) with MaliT830-MP2 GPU and also has 64GB internal storage with 4GB RAM combination. In terms of camera, it flaunts same Dual rear camra: one with 12MP rear camera with LED flash, PFAF, 1.25μm pixel size, f/1.8 aperture while secondary is 8MP shooter for capturing depth information and digital zoom paired with 20MP front-facing snapper  for selfies.

It runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat)  EMUI 5.1 skin on top. Fingerprint sensor is embed on rear under camera like Nova 2. It has larger 3340 mAh non-removable battery to provide enough juice for long run. Other connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / Glonass and USB Type-C.

The Huawei Nova 2 is priced 2499 yuan (approx. $364 or 23,000 INR) whereas the Nova 2 Plus is priced at 2899 yuan (approx. $423 or 27,000 INR ) for Chinese market. Both the smartphones come with Aurora Blue, Grass Green, Gold, Obsidian Black and Rose Gold color options. If you are willing to purchase these smartphones, both the phones will be available for pre-order from today and will go for sale starting from June 16 in China.
