Lenovo launched K5 Note back in August priced at Rs. 11,999 in India. At the launch the smartphone did not support 4G VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) at the launch for making calls on Reliance Jio network. Last week it finally rolled out a new software update that adds the support in India.

Now you can enabled VoLTE from the mobile network settings and enabling “Enhanced 4G LTE mode”. One enabled, you can see the VoLTE logo showing up in status bar on the top, next to the signal.

The update itself weights 122MB in size. It also includes September, 2016 Android security update. Hopefully, many users using already got notification for this update. If you still did not get update you can do it manually by visiting Setting menu. After installing this update you can use JIO SIM for calling purpose which was big hurdle before this to make call directly on this device via JIO SIM card.
