LG V40 ThinQ goes official as it was promised by the company. This is a successor of last year’s LG V30 / V30 Plus for India, or you can call it LG G7+ with an improved camera because most of the specs and design it borrows from the recently launched LG G7+ ThinQ.
The LG V40 ThinQ comes with a 6.4 inches 1440 x 3120 pixels QHD+ P-OLED display covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor paired with Adreno 640 GPU. The rear camera is managed by the triple 12MP + 16MP + 12MP sensors featuring 3x optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilization on all sensors, Dual-Pixel autofocus and up to 4K Ultra HD video recording. Further, it adds a dual 8MP + 5MP selfie shooter with secondary wide angle lens.
The smartphone is backed by a 3,300 mAh non-removable battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 as well as quick wireless charging support. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo on the top of LG UX 7.0+. Considering the memory, the device has 6GB of RAM combined with 64GB of internal storage, which could be further expanded up to 512GB with the help of a dedicated microSD slot. It measures 158.8 x 75.7 x 7.6 mm and weighs 169 grams as far as devices dimensions are concerned.
