Today, Lenovo has announced Lenovo K8 Note featuring MediaTek Helio X23 (MT6797D) processor and become the world’s first phone to adopt this chipset. In the given price range, it directly competes with some Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 powered devices included Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Asus Zenfone 3 and even Lenovo’s own P2. In this article, we will be comparing both MediaTek Helio X23 vs Snapdragon 625 chipsets putting aside on side by side specs. So without any further ado, let’s get started:

The MediaTek Helio X23 employs Tri-cluster, deca-core (4 x 1.4GHz A53 + 4 x 1.8GHz A53, 2 x 2.3GHz A72) 64-bit CPU clocked at 2.3GHz whereas Snapdragon 625 is a high power-efficient chip with octa-core (8 x 2.0GHz Cortex-A53 cores) CPU based on 14nm architecture. On another side, Helio X23 uses 20nm process which is not that great as SD625, but still a good option. The GPU on X23 is Mali-T880 MP4 and Adreno 506 on SD625.
Both the platforms are using LPDDR3 RAM with eMMC 5.1 storage; where it is limited to max. 4GB on Helio X23, but SD625 has no limit. In the camera department, both have capabilities to bear dual camera setup, up to 32MP on X23 and Up to 24 MP on SD660 SD625. When it comes to Quick charge support, both have no problem with it unless the manufacturer locks it to save some money. The device with X23 can bring the resolution up to WQXGA (2560 x 1600), unfortunately not the case with SD625. The Snapdragon 625 powered devices are restricted to max. Full HD display.

Conclusion
Both the chipsets have their own pros and cons. The Helio X23 has a powerful CPU which is not the case with Snapdragon 625, but Adreno 506 GPU used on SD625 is a better pick when it comes to graphical performance. All in all, Snapdragon 625 is not as strong as X23, but all around a balanced chip. Definitely, Helio X23 looks good enough at least on paper, but we have to test lot more in different conditions. If only performance matters to you, Moto Z is available their around 20-21k on Flipkart. However, the device is one year old but still provides a good value, and performance of Snapdragon 820 is still way better than Snapdragon 625-30 or any other chipset available in the given price bracket. If you want to go with the latest smartphone, I would suggest you to for Xiaomi Mi A1, that is available at Rs. 14,999 on Flipkart either.
And to clarify, there is nothing best in the smartphone industry. There is always some pros and cons of every single smartphone, even if you buy any premium grade smartphone. It depends upon to you are what you looking for.

Moto G5s Plus way better than Lenovo K8 in terms of camera. Higher megapixels never means that it is better than the lower one, indeed, there are multiple things that make the camera a great performer such as batter optimised ISP, sensor etc. Regarding the battery, definitely, it is a weak point for moto g5s Plus and don’t worry about Android 7.0, because soon both will be updated to Android Oreo as the company promised. In fact, Motorola is a subsidiary of Lenovo; therefore it should follow the same pattern to provide latest updates.

I want to buy a phone and my budget is 15000 I want a good battery and processor for best performance and other features like best hardware and camera if possible in my budget so please suggest me a best phone under my budget.
My pick would be Lenovo P2 as far as good battery and Performance are concerned. But, in this case, you will get an average camera. If you want a decent camera, then Xiaomi Mi A1 is a good choice, but it hasn’t good battery, not bad either. I don’t think there is anything like perfect in the smartphone industry. Every smartphone has some pros as well as some cons. Now, you have to decide what are your priorities. I personally using Lenovo P2 and getting good performance and almost two days of battery life in my day to day usage, almost 10-12 hours of screen-on time.
