MKBHD: Red Hydrogen Prototype meets with hands-on video

Back in July, famous camera maker “Red” had unveiled a new smartphone called – Hydrogen One. At the time of announced, the company didn’t reveal anything special except a single render image rather they pointed out its specialties like real time 3D content playback, without using any extra equipment as it has a holographic display.

Now, we have something more about this device. Actually, the company shared some prototype with well-known YouTuber “MKBHD ” (A.K.A Marques Brownlee ) to give us a closer to the device. At first sight, the device looks thicker and heavier, as expected, than the other premium smartphones available in the market.

The brand is mainly focusing on its promised features rather than giving the sleek and shiny look to the device, which is a good thing to take the smartphone technology to the next level. The smartphone could be proved as revolutionary if the company Meet expectations as they promised during the announcement. Moving towards design, The power button is placed on the left-hand side with the fingerprint sensor, similar to some Sony devices while volume rockers are given on the right-hand side of the device.

Interestingly, it has a dedicated button for video recording as the phone is said to doing digital cinema stuff. The rear side of the device, we have dual camera module with magnetic pins available at the rear bottom,  which give us hint to be it a modular Similar to “Moto Z” series. On the bottom, we have USB Type-C alongside 3.5 mm audio jack, but “MKBHD ” revealed that the company would locate the 3.5mm jack on the top for the final product.

Additionally, The video doesn’t tell anything about specs but confirmed no IP68 rating and wireless charging going to happen with this phone. Earlier, The device is rumored to feature 5.7 inches display but the video says 5.5 inches super high-resolution display (no idea about exact resolution).
