After getting many leaks and rumors, Lenovo finally officially announced Moto Z2 Play with Moto Mods support. The new handset comes with few minor changes over its predecessor Moto Z Play.

The Moto Z2 features 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by slightly improved Snapdragon 626 processor wheres Moto Z play was launched with Snapdragon 625 SoC. For optics, it has a 12MP rear shooter with Dual  pixels plus laser autofocus that company promises to capture good low-light shots. On front, their is 5MP selfie camera.

JBL-SoundBoost-2-and-Moto-TurboPower-Pack

The handset is backed by 3000 mAh battery with fast charging capabilities. As it comes with Moto Mod connectors, the company has introduced new JBL SoundBoost 2 mod with 10 hours of playtime. It has 5.99 mm ultra-slim aluminum unibody design which looks very premium. In terms of storage, the device comes with two variants: 3GB RAM / 32GB storage and 4GB RAM / 64GB internal storage. Other connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC and USB 3.1 Type-C port.

Pricing and Availability

The Moto Z2 Play starts at $499 (approx. 32,000 INR) 32GB variants and will be available in Brazil from today for R$ 1,999 (approx. $600 or 37,000 INR) for the 4GB RAM with 64GB variants. It comes in Lunar Gray, Nimbus Blue and Fine Gold color options.

Moto TurboPower Pack Mod is priced at US$79.99 , Moto Style Shell with Wireless Charging costs US$39.99 , JBL SoundBoost 2 costs US$79.99  and the Moto GamePad is priced at US$79.99 . All these mods will be available for purchase this summer globally.
