Motorola launched new device in budget segment called Moto E3 Power. Phones like the Xiaomi Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime along with Lenovo Vibe K5 and Coolpad Note 3 Lite are some of the popular phones in this segment. It provides great competition for other devices. It is quite common for sub-Rs 10,000 smartphones to have features like fingerprint scanners, good cameras, and good battery life. And the Moto E series set the trend for getting specifications and features right in the budget category in India.

Design and Build Quality
The new Moto E3 Power definitely looks a lot like the first-generation Moto E with speaker grilles both above and below the display. It comes with plastic body which is not good but well settled brands still sticking with cheap build quality in this segment. Dimensions of the device are 71.6×143.8×9.55mm and weighted 153.5g. The phone feels slightly heavy for its size, and with a 9.5mm side profile, it is also quite thick. The volume and power buttons are on the right, while the left is blank. The 3.5mm audio jack is on top.
Display
Moto E3 Power features a 5-inch 720*1280p HD IPS display which is certainly an improvement over the previous generation’s qHD 540*960 pixel resolution. That means that despite its bigger display, the Moto E3 Power also sports a higher pixel density which now stands at 294ppi. There is also reinforced glass added on this device which is surprisingly new for moto budget segment device.
The company has gone for onscreen buttons instead of capacitive ones for Android’s Home, Recents, and Back navigation controls. The physical volume and power buttons placed on the right offer decent tactile feel. Much like previous Moto handsets, the Moto E3 Power will also sport a nano-coating which is claimed to protect it from rain splashes.
Camera
Moving to camera, There is an 8 MP rear camera with autofocus which can record 720p video. On paper, device does not look up to the mark but it can still take some decent shot. In terms of rear camera, it is just ok device not to impressive. For selfie, the devices bears a 5 MP front facing camera. Front camera of this device is capable to take some decent selfies. Overall camera of this device is just fair.
Hardware and Performance
This device is powered by Mediatek MT6735P which is a quad core processor cloaked at 1.0 GHz. For storage, it comes with 16 GB internal storage which you can expend up to 32 GB, 2GB RAM of this device is enough for multitasking and heavy apps. In india, flipkart providing free 32 GB microSD card along with device. The mediatek processor surprisingly giving smooth experience which was not expected.
It runs on Android v6.0.1 based near stock android. This devices packs a 3500 mAh under the hood includes all basic sensons Accelerometer, proximity and Ambient Light. However, fingerprint is not there which is not good.
Connectivity
In terms of connectivity, the Moto E3 Power offers Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.0, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, and 4G LTE (Cat. 4).There is no problem to run JIO SIM as It supports VoLTE . There is dual sim option also available which supports 4G on both the SIM cards.
Final Words
At Rs. 7,999, Lenovo’s Moto E3 Power seems like a decent overall package. The device will be available exclusively through Flipkart from midnight on Monday with plenty of launch offers. Though, there are more options in market as well which you can also consider over this device. If you want good after sale service support you can go for moto E3 power. Overall it is a value for money device in our opinion.
This phone does not have any Moto architecture. It does not have bootloader system of Motorola. Android recovery is in Chinese language. Factory reset from recovery will be a big headache.
