Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 announced with 11nm process, octa-core Kryo 460 cores

As you might be aware of, one of the leading mobile chipsets producer Qualcomm was holding a product launch event for today. First, the company introduced the industry’s first 5G smartphone from OnePlus with LTE Modem X50, later, the event was all about the latest Snapdragon 675 processor, which is an improved version of lately announced Snapdragon 670.

The Snapdragon 675 comes with latest 8x custom Kryo 460 cores clocked up to 2.0 GHz, where 2X cores are pointed at powerful 2X Cortex-A76 and rest of the Cortex-A55 cores are pointed to power efficient 1.8GHz CPU. The new SoC comes with the older Spectra 250 ISP and Adreno 612 GPU under the hood. It has LTE modem X12 with download speed up to 600 Mbps and upload speed 150 Mbps. The new chip is deeply optimized for the gaming and brings several gaming optimizations, including such as Unity, Unreal, Messiah, NeoX. There is also the support for popular tools and APIs including Vulkan, OpenGL 3.2, OpenCL, and Snapdragon profiler.

It arrives with Quick Charge 4+ technology for fast charging and supports triple 16MP cameras or a single 25MP shooter. Other essential connectivity options include Bluetooth 5, Dual VoLTE, Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac with MIMO 2×2 and Dual LTE support as same time for both the SIM cards. Besides, AI features are present to make the experience more comfortable.
