Samsung Galaxy A8s with Infinity-O display officially announced

Samsung has launched a new smartphone called Galaxy A8s with a different kind of approach. It is the world’s first smartphone to arrive with camera hole under the display, which Samsung calls it Infinity-O design. Apart from the in-display camera, the handset comes with some competent configurations under the hood.

The Samsung Galaxy A8s is powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 processor coupled with Adreno 616 GPU. The smartphone is equipped with 6.4-inches 1080 x 2340 pixels IPS LCD display with always-on display feature. As for optics, It has a triple camera on the back having a 24MP main sensor with a large f/1.7 aperture, a secondary 10MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and a 3rd one 5MP sensor is used for depth sensing. On the front, it has a 24MP shooter for cool selfies and a fingerprint sensor is embedded underneath it.

The device includes a 3,400 mAh non-removable battery with fast charging support via USB Type-C port. When it comes to storage, there are two variants, either 6GB RAM or 8GB RAM paired with 128GB of built-in storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 512GB via Micro SD slot. It runs on TouchWiz based Android 9.0 Nougat out of the box. All the essential connectivity option are present and measures 158.4 x 74.9 x 7.4 mm, while the weight is 173 grams.

Samsung Galaxy A8s Price and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy A8s comes in Blue, Gray and Green color options and all obliged to be gradient colors. As of now, pricing details aren’t been disclosed and will update as soon as the confirm those details. Regarding the availability, the device is already up for pre-orders and will start selling from December 21 in China.
