Samsung Display co. retains its no.1 display maker spot in first quarter of the 2017. All these analytics came from industry’s most popular firm – the IHS Markit. As we already know, Samsung is producing some excellent displays on their devices and demand of OLED and sAMOLED is just going through its golden days.
According to IHS Markit, the combined global sales of LCD and OLED displays that are 9 inches or smaller basically for smartphones display, came to $13 billion in the January-March period, up 35 percent from a year earlier. Which Samsung is dominating market with 27.2 percent market share of global market followed by Japan Display who stands at 17.8 percent market share while LG Display Co. reserved 3rd spot trailing China-based BOE Technology Group.
In addition, industry’s experts are pretty much impressed with Samsung’s performance as the company is doing great job by producing some great panels over the year.
