Xiaomi’s Mi 8 Youth Edition has been rumored a long time ago, finally, the company officially confirmed its arrival. The company publishes an invite scheduling the event for September 19 in China. Basically, this is a lighter version of the original Mi 8 that should be placed at the affordable price point in between Mi 8 and Mi 8SE.
Regarding the specs, thanks to the TEENA listing that showed up the full specs sheet. As per Chinese certification site, the device will bring 6.26-inch 1080 x 2220 pixels Full HD+ TFT display on the front. As for optics, it will have dual rear cameras and single 24MP shooter on the front. It is speculated to be driven by 2.2 GHz octa-core processor (possibly Snapdragon 710) under the hood. A fingerprint sensor is embedded in the back.
