Xiaomi Mi A2 launched in India priced at 16,999 INR


Xiaomi finally unleashed its much-awaited smartphone Mi A2 in India. The device has already been announced so no suspense remains about specifications. Considering the price, The Mi A2 comes in two variants in 4 GB RAM and 64 GB for 16,999 INR or approx. 250 USD. There is one more variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, but as of now, the pricing hasn’t been revealed. The company promises to bring higher variant soon in India. As far as availability is concerned, the device will available for pre-orders starting from tomorrow from 12:00 o’clock at Amazon.in and Mi.com and shipping will start from August 12. The color options include Black, Lake Blue, Rose Gold, and Gold.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Specifications

The Xiaom A2 accumulates a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display at 1080 x 2160 pixels (18:9 ratio). It is powered by Qualcomm’s 14nm Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. This is an Android One device, so shipping with the Stock UI built on Android Oreo. Regarding the storage, the device comes in two variants in India,  4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage respectively.

The optics department is handled by the dual 12MP + 20MP rear cameras, whereas, on the front, it has a single 20MP shooter for selfies. Considering the features, the rear camera includes Background blurring in portrait mode, Light enhancement technology HDR, Panorama mode, Face recognition, AI Beautify 4.0 with AI capabilities. Even being a single camera on the front, you can achieve AI-powered portrait mode. The device measurements are 158.7 x 75.4 x 7.3 mm (HxWxD) with the weight of 168 grams.

Furthermore, the handset packs 3,010 mAh non-removable battery with standard 5V==2A charger out of the box. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, GPS with GLONASS and with USB Type-C port. It will worth noting that the device comes with dual 4G VoLTE support without having any micro SD card support.
