Xiaomi introduced a new smartphone called Redmi 4 in India for 6,999 INR to take place on its predecessors Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime. Today, the new Xiaomi handset went for sale on Amazon and Mi.com and company claimed to sell more than 250,000 units within 8 minutes on their Twitter handle.

It will worth mentioning specs of this smartphone and quick overview. The Redmi 4 comes with 5.0-inch 720p display and available in three storage variant: 2GB RAM/16GB Storage, 3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage. As far as pricing is concerned, 2GB RAM variant priced at 6,999 INR while 3GB and 4GB RAM variants priced at 8,999 INR and 10,999 INR respectively. The handset runs on Android 7.0 powering with Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Chipset under the hood.
The Xiaomi did it third time in past 1 year. First time, It has sold over 250,000 units of Redmi Note 4 smartphones in less then 10 minutes and 250,000 units of Redmi 4A smartphones were sold within 4 minutes in first sale back in March.
