BlackBerry DTEK50 and DTEK60 Android smartphones launched in India – Prices, Specs, Features and Availability

BlackBerry on Monday at an event in New Delhi launched two new Android-based smartphones in India – the DTEK50 and the DTEK60, priced at Rs. 21,990 and Rs. 46,990 respectively.

BlackBerry DTE50

To recall, the BlackBerry DTEK50 was launched back in July this year, and began shipping in select regions in August. The smartphone features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with a pixel density of 424ppi. It is powered by a 1.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, dual-tone LED flash, and a 6-element lens with an f/2.0 aperture. On the front, it bears an 8-megapixel fixed focus camera with an 84-degree wide-angle lens and an f/2.2 aperture.

This device comes with 16GB of internal storage which can be expandable up to 2TB via microSD card . Connectivity options include 4G LTE (included Indian LTE bands), Wi-Fi 802.11ac, FM radio, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and NFC. It packs a 2610mAh non-removable battery with Quick Charge 2.0 .

BlackBerry DTEK60

Moving to BlackBerry DTEK60, the smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display with a pixel density of 534ppi. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC paired with adreno 530. For optics, there is a 21-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, dual-tone LED flash, and a 6-element f/2.0 lens. On the front, it features the 8-megapixel fixed focus camera as the DTEK50, an 84-degree wide-angle lens and an f/2.2 aperture.

For storage, it has 32GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card up to 2TB. It packs a 3000mAh non-removable battery with Quick Charge 3.0. Connectivity options include 4G LTE (with support for Indian LTE bands), Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and NFC.

Both the smartphone come with single SIM support and a dedicated micro SD slot>

The BlackBerry DTEK50 and DTEK60 come in Black color and are priced at Rs. 21,990 and Rs. 46,990 respectively. The BlackBerry DTEK50 will be available from Sunday, November 13th, while the DTEK60 will be available from December.
