Google has today unleashed its much-anticipated smartphones of the year called Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. The upgraded duo comes with signification improvements over their predecessors’ Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, whether it is hardware or design. In this article, we will be giving a complete overview with specs sheet, so, Let’s get into it.

Google Pixel 3 & Pixel 3 XL Specs

The Pixel 3 features a 5.5 inch 1080 x 2160 pixel Full HD+ OLED display; a 0.5 inch more than the last year’s Pixel 2 by using the similar body. On the other hand, the Pixel 3 XL is equipped with 6.3 inches 1440 x 2880 pixel QHD+ OLED panel and uses Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top same as Pixel 3. Both the handsets are powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor paired with Adreno 630 GPU for graphics-intensive tasks.

Furthermore, both the smartphones use 12.2 MP, 1..4μm pixel size, ƒ/1.8 aperture, 76° FOV, Dual PD autofocus, OIS, EIS, 4K video recording at up to 30 fps, 720p at up to 240 fps, Spectral + flicker sensor, which remains similar to the last year’s smartphones. On the front, Interestingly, both have dual 8MP + 8MP dual cameras with f/1.8 and f/2.2 aperture respectively. Further, the selfie shooter can record up to 1080p video and supports digital image stabilization. Regarding the memory, both of the smartphones offer up to 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM coupled with either 64GB or 128GB of storage; depending upon which variant you choose. As for software, both the devices run Android Pie 9.0 with Stock Android as expected.

The Pixel 3 is backed by a 2915 mAh non-removable battery, which is a slight increase over the Pixel 2’s 2700 mAh battery. On the other hand, The bigger Pixel 3 XL packs a 3420 mAh battery, unfortunately, it is even lesser than last year’s Pixel 2 XL, but still, we don’t have any what kind of backup, therefore, we don’t want to judge it on the behalf of on paper battery size as Google is known for high-end optimizations with great power efficiency and Stock Android has extra edge over custom UIs.

Besides, both have IP68 rated water and dust resistant body, essential connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac 2x2MIMO, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, USB Type-C port, NFC, wireless charging, front-firing stereo speakers, Active Edge, and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Pricing and Availability

The Pixel 3 is priced at $799 for base variant and $899 for higher storage variant, while, the bigger Pixel 3 XL costs $899 for 64GB storage, which, goes up to $999 for 128GB storage variant. Both the smartphones are available in Clearly White, Just Black and Not Pink colors and bring Google Pixel USB-C earbuds in the box. When it comes to availability, Both are already up for pre-orders in the USA and will start selling from October 18 and Europe will get it from November 9.
