Samsung is getting great success on its latest launched smartphone S8 and S8 Plus. But company’s last year flagship S7 and S7 Edge got dramatic success as these smartphones have been sold around 55 million units till date, revealed by market research firm Strategy Analytics in a new report.
The data further revealed that in Q1 alone, that is during the January-March period, the combined sales of Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge reached 7.2 million. The Galaxy Note 7 played an important role to happen it true.

To recall, Samsung Note 7 was launched in September, 2017 with great initial success, then it started getting fire catching issues on several units then company started calling back their units and discontinue that products. For those who were seeking Samsung flagship had no choice rather then going for S7 or S7 Edge and give massive popularity as S7 Edge was very identical to Note 7 with minor changes.
Additionally, Samsung has sold 92.2 Million units January-March period as far as total devices are concerned. which 80 million were smartphones. Strategic Analytics data showed adding that the company managed to get 23 percent share of the global smartphone market.
