Korean tech giant Samsung announces a new flip phone W2018 at an event held in Xiamen city, China. The company celebrated the 10th anniversary of “series” and, the overall 25th anniversary of company’s in the China market. The device is packed with high-end specs, similar to its predecessor.
Samsung W2018 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor paired with Adreno 540 GPU. It features dual 4.2-inch 1080p FHD AMOLED display on both sides. As far as storage is concerned, the device has 64GB internal storage coupled with 4GB of RAM. Moreover, micro SD slot is present to increase the storage further up to 256GB. It also supports Bixby with Chinese language support.
In terms of the optics, It flaunts a 12 MP sensor with a f/1.5 aperture on the rear, whereas, a 5 MP shooter with f/1.9 lens citing on the front to capture selfies. Remember that, The f/1.5 aperture is the larger aperture on any smartphone till date. The rear camera is capable of recording up to 4K videos. It is backed by a 2300 mAh battery to keep the lights on. It will worth noting that the device doesn’t come with Google services preloaded and runs on Android 7.1.1, Marshmallow, which is almost a year old version.
Pricing and Availability
The Samsung W2018 is said to be priced around whooping 2,000$. Saying it reserved for business people won’t be wrong as it comes with a high price tag. Still, the price is not confirmed, therefore we have to wait for the official announcement.
