Today, Qualcomm announced a new entry-level chipset called Snapdragon 450. The new SoC will replace its predecessor Snapdragon 435 which is already being used on some popular devices like Redmi 4 and many more.
Moving towards its specs and features, it is based on 14nm FinFET technology with 8 Cortex-A53 cores while cloak speed is not mentioned yet. It is 25% faster than Snapdragon 435 in terms of performance. By taking a closer look, it seems very similar to Snapdragon 625 processor which also includes octa CPU based on 14nm process. The new SD450 consumes 30% less power then SD435 which company claims to offer up to 4 hours more batteries backup. In addition, the new chip comes integrated Adreno 506 GPU similar to Snapdragon 625.

The Snapdragon 450 will now support dual rear camera (13MP + 13MP) setup or single 21MP shooter which can be record up to 1080p/60fps. One this which lacks compare to SD625 is 4K videos recording. As for charging capabilities, it includes Quick Charge 3.0 support along with USB 3.0 .
