Xiaomi launched two new devices named Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus in China. Mi 5s Plus is a phablet device with a larger display. Xiaomi mi 5s features a 5.2 inches Full HD display with 600nits maximum brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio, and a 94.4% NTSC color gamut. The higher-end model also has support for 3D pressure sensitivity. It has support for 3xCA network connectivity, along with Bluetooth 4.2, dual-band MU-MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and NFC. In terms of camera, the Xiaomi added 12 MP rear and 4 MP selfie camera on this device. It packs a 3200mAh battery inside with QuickCharge 3.0 support. For storage, the device is available in two variant one with 3 GB RAM and 64 GB internal and another one with 4GB RAM and 128 GB storage.
On other side, Mi 5s plus has a larger 5.7 inches Full HD display. The device sports a dual 12 MP camera on backside along with 4 Camera on front. There is two variant, 4 GB RAM and internal 64 GB Storage and top variant with massive 6GB of RAM and 128 GB of inbuilt storage . The device comes with a larger 3800 mAh battery under the hood with fast charging (Quick Charge 3.0) support.

Both the devices powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 chipset paired with Adreno 530 GPU. Also there are all the necessary sensors available include Fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer. Both devices runs on Android v6.0.1 based on MIUI (version not specified). There is dual sim support available on both the smartphones and capable to run two 4G SIM with VoLTE.
Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi Mi 5s 3GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,999 (Approx Rs. 20,000), while the 4GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant is priced CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs. 22,900). The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant on the other hand has been priced at CNY 2,299 (Approx. Rs. 22,900), while the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant has been priced at CNY 2,599 (Approx Rs. 26,000). Both smartphones will be available in four colour variants – Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, and White and will available through flash sale held on company’s official website from Friday.
