The Chinese manufacturer Asus has finally launched Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 as expected. It is a mid-range device and comes with stock Android UI out of the box. The Asus Zenfone Max Pro features a 5.99-inches 1080 x 2160p (18:9) Full HD+ IPS LCD panel on the front at 402 pixels per inch (PPI). Regarding the optics, The device offers dual rear cameras primary where a 13 MP is a primary lens, while, the second lens is a 5 MP shooter to capture depth information. On the front, it accumulated an 8 MP front-facing camera for selfies. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with Adreno 509 GPU.
Furthermore, the device packs a massive 5,000 mAh non-removable battery, which should be enough last for two days as it comes with Stock Android user interface based on latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Coming to storage, it has two different variants, one with 32 GB storage and 3 GB RAM, while another one with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 2 TB with dedicated micro SD slot.
Considering the design, The Zenfone Max Pro resembles its market competitor Redmi Note 5 Pro. The fingerprint sensor is embedded on the rear with the metallic unibody design. It measures 159 x 76 x 8.46mm and weighs 180 grams, which is on a slightly heavier side, but a huge battery justifies its weight. Other connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n , Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS and micro USB 2.0 charging port.
Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 Pricing and Availability in India
The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is priced at Rs. 10,999 for 3 GB RAM variant, which goes up to 12,999 for the higher 4 GB RAM variant. It offers Deepsea Black and Gray color options and will start selling exclusively on Flipkart starting from 3 May. All in all, Asus has been very aggressive regarding its price and will provide hard competition to its near competitor Redmi Note 5 Pro. Asus will also introduce 6 GB RAM variant and an upgraded camera, soon after its inception in the market.
