Coolpad Cool Play 6 with 6GB RAM, Dual Camera and 4050 mAh battery launched for 1499 Yuan

Coolpad has just introduced a new smartphone Coolpad Cool Play 6. It has very good specs on board and looks a gaming-centric smartphone in the budget segment.

The Coolpad Cool Play 6 comes with 5.5-inch 1080 x 1980p Full HD display but protection is still unspecified. It is powered by Snapdragon 653 processor with Adreno 510 GPU. The main highlight of this device is its 6GB RAM which we usually don’t see in budget segment devices. It runs on latest Android 7.1.1 out of the box.

Moving to the camera, the handset comes with Dual camera setup on rear: with two 13-megapixel Sony sensors for monochrome and depth of field functions. the main sensor comes with the 6P lens, autofocus, dual-tine LED flash, as well as f/2.0 aperture. It has an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies. For storage, it features 64GB internal storage which can be expended up to 256GB via microSD slot. It packs a 4060 mAh non-removable battery under the hood to keep the lights on.

Apart from that, Coolpad has reportedly embedded an ‘intelligent temperature control technology’ which ensures that the smartphone doesn’t heat up during intense game sessions. Other Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 ac/a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and micro USB port for charging.

The Coolpad Cool Play 6 is priced at CNY 1,499 (Approx. $217 or 14,000 INR), and comes in Black and Gold color options. It is up for pre-order and will go on sale from May 16 in China.
