Coolpad has launched a new smartphone in India dubbed as Cool Play 6 at an event in Dubai. It will worth mentioning that the device has already been launched in China and currently being sold under the price tag of 1499 RMB or roughly translated into 225 USD. Meanwhile, the Indian pricing for this device resembles with China, which we perceive later in this post.
Moving on, the Coolpad Cool Play 6 equipped with 5.5-inch 1080 x 1920p Full HD display. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 653 processor paired with Adreno 510 GPU. Regarding storage, the handset packs 64GB of internal coupled with 6GB RAM; while hybrid expansion slot is given to add external storage up to 256GB.
As far as optic are concerned, The handset delivers dual rear camera sensor with 13MP (RGB) + 13MP (monochrome) combination which is capable to record up to 4K resolution videos. Implementation of the secondary rear camera gives this device capability to capture depth information to be focused on the specific element.
On the front, a 13MP shooter is there for selfies with 2.2 aperture lens. The device is backed by 4060 mAh Lithium-Ion battery. It runs on Android 7.1.1, Nougat with Journey UI, while the company promised to push Android O update whenever it available. Further, the handset holds all the necessary connectivity features including 4G with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 ac/a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port.

Pricing and Available
The Coolpad Cool Play 6 is priced at 14,999 in India and will be available exclusively via Amazon.in starting from September 4. It comes in Gold and Black color options. In meantime, the company announced that Coolpad S1 Changer, Harmon/Kardon audio enhancements will be available around Diwali. Moreover, Syed Tajuddin, CEO, Coolpad India, quoted:
