Google Tez, UPI based payment platform launched in India

If you are living in India, you might be known Paytm. Paytm is the most popular method to transfer money online in India. Apart from that, recently Indian government had introduced “BHIM ” app, which also increasing popularity among the Indians. Now, the tech giant Google has announced a new mobile payments system in India to extend it further called as “Tez,” indeed, it is very different from Paytm.

It will worth noting that it applies Indian government-backed UPI(Unified Payments Interface). Moreover, Tez is a platform where you can transfer money or pay bills for various services such as restaurant, booking tickets, ordering food and several other services that support online transactions.

If your concern about security, Google stressed out you don’t need to worry about it as the system is very much secured. To prevent the hacking, all the transactions are secured by UPI PIN. Besides, the Tez app can be guarded by applying authentication methods such as pin code, Fingerprint sensor, etc.

Google says on security matters:

Each transaction is secured with your UPI PIN and the app is secured with a Google PIN or your screen lock method such as fingerprint

Pay Bills and transfer money

Send money home to your family, split a dinner bill with friends, or pay the neighborhood chaiwala. Make all payments big or small, directly from your bank account with Tez, Google’s new payment app for India

The service either permits a Cash Mode option that you can use to send money instantly to another Tez user nearby. You’ll not be required to share private details – like your bank account or phone number – when sending money this way.

Use Cash Mode to send money instantly to another Tez user nearby without needing to share private details like your bank account or phone number. Now you can transact with the simplicity of cash, but with added security.

Apart from that, if you want to pay with Tez, it supports all the major banks certified by the Indian government. Business users and shopkeepers are also invited to use this app. The money will directly go to the bank account of the user without any additional fee.

All in all, the new payment system is made for every class of user, either you are a normal consumer or holding a big business. This is the Google’s solution to provide payment services in India. In addition, the app comes with packed in various regional languages including English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu, and available for both Android and iOS users.
