Honor is latest device from huawei which is going to launch soon in India. It is expected that the device will launch on October 12 . While there is still no word on exactly when the device will go on sale in India, there is some speculation on what the price would be for the Honor 8 and Honor 8 Smart, a second variant of that will sell alongside the Honor 8.
A twiiter user named mahesh telicom twitted that the Honor 8 would be available for RS 29,999 while the Honor 8 Smart would be going for RS 19,999. However, according to India Today Huawei stated that these prices were purely imaginary as the prices are not yet finalised.
To remind you, the device is already launched in other parts of the world back in July. In US, the smartphone launched in variants 32GB and 64GB. The US pricing are around $400 for 32GB and 64GB variant priced at $450.
Honor 8 brief Specs
Honor 8 features a 5.2 Full HD display. It is powered by huawei’s own kirin 950 processor bundled 4GB of RAM inside. The highlight feature of this device is dual csmera setup. There are Dual 12 MP, f/2.2 cameras with laser auto focus to enhance the picture quality.
It runs on Android v6.0.1 based on Huawei’s EMUI. ther features include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and IR blaster.
There is no information provided related “Smart” variant of the Honor 8, but given that it is significantly cheaper than the Honor 8, it could be a watered down version of the phone with a single camera setup instead of dual, a cheaper CPU and perhaps less RAM.
