Recently, Google bought some part of the HTC R&D division by injecting $1.1 billion; However, HTC stated that they would continue to produce their conventional flagship devices. Therefore, to match with current market standards, the HTC is planning to introduce an upgraded version of current flagship U11 with 18:9 aspect ratio display to be called as HTC U11 Plus. The upcoming full-screen HTC smartphone is speculated to be announced in mid-November.
Today, we have got some render images of HTC U11 Plus from Weibo by disclosing the front and back both. The rear panel is said to be made out of the glass, and the fingerprint scanner now moved on the back to provide some additional space to display. The device somehow appears to borrow the Galaxy S8 design with similar curved edges, but, top and bottom borders are narrower than S8. Further, the Capacitive keys are now replaced with on-screen navigation buttons.
Apart from that, the device is rumored to feature 5.99-inch 1440 x 2880p QHD+ display, Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB RAM either 64GB or 128GB storage. The rear camera is presumed to be a 12MP sensor whereas, front-facing camera will be taken care by an 8MP snapper. All in all, there aren’t many changes made regarding the hardware, but it will be unleashed with brand new design and edge to edge display.
