Huawei Mate 10 series confirms to be announced on October 16

IFA 2017 event was very crucial for the Chinese manufacturer Huawei. The company has announced company’s next flagship grade SoC Kirin 970 with inbuilt AI functionality and dedicated Neural processing unit (NPU). Apart from that, by the end of this event, the company confirmed the Mate 10 series powering with Kirin 970 chipset, as earlier rumors presumed.

Company’s official Twitter handle confirmed the launch event that will be held on October 16 in Munich, Germany. By any mean, if you are unaware, Huawei CEO Richard Yu, has already indicated that the Mate 10 will have a full-screen display, support for fast charge, better cameras, and more features. The device is supposed to bring dual vertical rear cameras with RGB + Monochrome sensors combo. In fact, the device will be the company’s most powerful smartphone till date.

Moreover, the Kirin 970 is an octa-core chip, where 4 x A73 cores are clocked @ 2.3GHz while another 4 x A53 cores are clocked @ 1.8Ghz with given GPU of Mali-G72 MP12. As we mentioned above, new Kirin chip has dedicated NPU, that is well capable of delivering up to 25 times the performance with 50 times greater efficiency compared to its CPU. Going with an example, the Kirin 970 processes 2,000 images per minute, about 20 times faster than the given CPU.
