Huawei is going to reveal its new flagship smartphone Mate 9 on November 3rd as per rumors. According to some previous leak claim, we expect three different variants of the phone to be unveiled.
There will be a model with 4GB of RAM carrying 64GB of internal storage, a version with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, and the top-of-the-line unit with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
Today, a Weibo post reveals what are alleged to be the specs for the most premium of the three variants. We expect to see a 5.9-inch screen with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. The homegrown Kirin 960 chipset is under the hood featuring an octa-core CPU, and the Mali-G71 MP8 GPU. As we previously mentioned, there will be 6GB of RAM and 256GB of flash storage inside.
There will be dual camera setup at the rear. One of the cameras will be a 20MP snapper while the other weighs in at 12MP. A fingerprint scanner is placed underneath the dual cameras on the back, and Android 7.0 is pre-installed. A previous rumor had this premium version of the Mate 9 priced at the equivalent of $705 USD.
