Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of the Reliance Industries at the company, has eventually launched much-awaited smartphone by JIO called – the JioPhone. If I am not wrong, This would be the first “VoLTE” supported feature phone.
The JioPhone packs a lot of features some of them we can’t assume to have in a feature phone. It comes with 2.4 inches QVGA, rear camera, Alphanumeric keypad, Torch, FM Radio, micro SD slot and 4-way Navigation key. Moreover, the device has got 22 major regional Indian languages support out of the box. It has some voice commands built in for specific tasks such as to call someone, reject a call, browse the internet, open apps and much more.
Apart from that, the device comes with pre-loaded some useful features like Jio Music, Jio Cinema, and Jio TV. You can connect your smartphone to TV for watching your favorite TV channels. Furthermore, It has NFC support given for digital payments through UPI, debit card, and debit card. Overall, the device looks complete package someone never assumes to bundled with the feature phone.
s pricing is concerned, the JioPhone is given FREE. Therefore you have to pay Rs. 1,500 as security fee which will be returned after three years. The company is also offering separate offer called “Dhan Dhana Dhan” where you have to pay Rs. 153 to enjoy free Internet and calls for 30 days. Other than that, there is an another offer which also provides the same package with full access to Jio TV. There are Rs. 54, a week and Rs. 24 2-day sachet packs for those who can’t go for monthly packs. As for availability, the device is said to be available from 24 August publically. Meanwhile, the beta testing will begin on August 15.

Jio is expecting to sell 5 million phones in the first week, and the phone will be booked through My Jio app and Jio retailer, and it comes under “Make in India” initiative.
