LeEco Le Pro 3 launched in US with a Snapdragon 821, 4GB of RAM for $399, Le S3 coming soon in stores


LeEco announced that it’s bringing the flagship LeEco Le Pro 3 smartphone to the United States for just $399. The phone has been available internationally since September, but now folks in the US will be able to buy the affordable flagship without importing it.

The LeEco Le Pro 3 runs EUI 5.8, based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) smartphone sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass, In-Cell touch tech, and a pixel density of 403ppi. It is powered by a 2.35GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC that’s coupled with the Adreno 530 GPU. for storage, there is 64GB of on-board storage and 4GB of RAM. Sadly, There is no option to expend the storage but 64 GB should be enough for normal consumer.

The Le Pro 3 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, HDR, BSI CMOS sensor, 4K video recording at 30fps, and a slow-motion recording of 720p at 120fps. On the front, the smartphone bears an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 76.5-degree wide-angle lens.

In terms of connectivity, the LeEco Le Pro 3 supports 4G LTE (with support for bands in India), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, and Bluetooth v4.2, apart from USB Type-C. The smartphone bears a 4070mAh battery, measures 151.4×73.9×7.5mm, and weighs 175 grams. The device packs almost all needed sensors fingerprint, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and an infrared emitter under the hood.

There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack same is we have already seen in LeEco Le 2. A headphone adapter will ship with the smartphone. The company is also touting its Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) support, for hi-fidelity audio, as well as Dolby Atmos-powered audio.

LeEco Le Pro 3 Pricing and Availability

The device is available for sale in Gray, silver and Gold colors for $399 (Approx. Rs. 26500). It’s also worth noting that you’ll get a $100 rebate with your purchase if you sign up for the company’s LeRewards program, making the total cost of the phone just $299.

In addition, LeEco is also bringing its mid-range Le S3 to the US for only $249 (Approx. Rs. 20,000). This device sports a 5.5-inch display, a Snapdragon 652 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of on-board storage and a 3,000mAh battery. It also has a 16MP rear camera, 8MP front camera and a fingerprint sensor on the back. This one will be available in Gray, Rose Gold and Gold on November 2.
