Oppo has unleashed F5 smartphone after long promotion in the Philippines, a successor of last year’s Oppo F3. The device brings new 18:9 aspect ratio 6.0-inch 1080 x 2160p FHD+ IPS display on the front by following the current trend of taller but less wide display. Moving on, the device is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P23 (MT6763T) octa-core processor paired with ARM Mali-G71 MP2.
Concerning the optics, the device brings 16MP, f/1.8 rear snapper, whereas front side is surrounded by 20MP, f/2.0, precisely making it a selfie-centric device for what the company is known for. The device can also capture images in portrait with the help of AI. If you remember, we have already seen similar kind of concept on Pixel devices, but remains to see how accurate it is.
Apart from that, the Oppo F5 has face lock with facial recognition technology. As for storage, there are two variants available; one with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage, while another one has 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It has 3,200 mAh battery non-removable battery packed in. The dual hybrid SIM device measures 156.5mm x 76mm 7.5mm and weighs 152 grams. It runs on Android 7.1 based on company’s custom ColorOS 3.2 UI.
