First Snapdragon 835 powered smartphone
Samsung will be the first to release Snapdragon 835 powered smartphone in the market. However, sony has already announced Xperia XZ Premium but it will be available later in market then Samsung’s flagships. Snapdragon 835 made S8 and S8 plus only will be available for US and China market and on other part of the world Samsung is likely to push Exynos 8895 powered handsets.
Design and built quality
The Galaxy S7 that measures 142.4 x 69.6 x 7.9 mm with a flat screen of 5.1 inches whereas the Galaxy S7 Edge has a 5.5-inch dual-edge curved screen with 150.9 x 72.6 x 7.7 mm measurement body.
This time is Samsung is ready to provide minimal bazels and more screen to body ratio. Both the new galaxy will have to sport dual-edge curved display. According to Android Authority, The Galaxy S8 would be feature a 5.8 inches display whereas larger S8 Plus would be come with 6.2 inches display. According to some previous leak, Samsung is looking to remove physical home button. Since there is no physical Home button on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus would come with rear mounted fingerprint sensor. Apart from fingerprint, S8 models are expected to come equipped with iris scanner as well as facial recognition feature.
Bigger battery
After, Note 7 disaster Samsung confirmed that future device will come safer and innovative batteries. New galaxy S8 is expected to pack a 3250 mAh battery and larger variant would have to sport 3,750.
