LG has launched G6 smartphone in India and already available for purchase in some other parts of the world. It was first announced at MWC event back in February this year.
LG G6 Specifications and Features
The LG G6 has a 5.7-inch 1440x2880p QHD+ IPS LCD FullVision display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by Snapdragon 821 processor which not best but not bad either. It has IP68 ratings for water and dust resistance that makes it safe to be immersed in up to 1.5 meters of water for as long as 30 minutes. It is the first smartphone to feature Dolby Vision technology. It also supports HDR 10 and has Quad DAC built-in.
As far as storage is concerned, the handset packs 64GB (UFS 2.0) built in storage coupled with 4GB RAM under the hood. Storage can be further expended up to 2TB with the help of MicroSD card. The LG G6 comes with 3300 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. The device measurement are 148.9×71.9×7.9mm, and weighs in at 163 grams.
Camera and Connectivity
The LG G6 comes with dual rear camera setup on the back with two 13-megapixel sensors with OIS 2.0, EIS, and PDAF. Over at the front you get a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture and 100-degree lens. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0. It also supports LTE-A 3 Band CA network. Fingerprint sensor is included on rear under camera. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
