LG Q8 smartphone silently unveiled with Snapdragon 820 SoC

LG has silently introduced a new smartphone called LG Q8 with some attractive features. The device seems somehow a mini version of LG V20 which was announced last year.

Moving to specs, The LG Q8 features a 5.2 inches 1440 x 2560 pixels QHD display while there is a secondary given to the side of the selfie camera. The secondary screen has 160 x 1,040px resolution, equivalent as on the V20. The Snapdragon 820 processor powers it, similar can be found on LG V20. It has the metal unibody design with IP67 water and dust resistant body. Regarding storage, it has 32GB internal storage with 4GB RAM under the hood. It is backed by 3000 mAh battery to keep the lights on.

Moreover, The device boasts dual rear camera setup, where 13MP main and an 8MP wide-angle lens with OIS and 4K video recording capabilities. On the front side, it has got a 5MP camera for selfies. The device runs on Android 7.0, Nougat OS out of the box.

Pricing and Availability

The LG Q8 is said to launch on coming month. As for Pricing, Still we have a shadow of doubt regarding its price, but it should be cheaper than LG G6 which is currently being sold in India at around Rs. 42,000 (around US$ 600)
