OnePlus 5 getting OTA update over 911 reboot bug

0

The OnePlus 5 smartphone was launched about a month ago. Since inception, the device has been getting into problems. First, it was suffering with “Jelly Scrolling Effect” then dived into some WiFi related issues. Now, a couple of days ago, a new problem came to the light, where the OnePlus 5 starts rebooting while dialing 911 which is an emergency number for the U.S.

Multiple users have reported this issue on Reddit by claiming it same problem on their devices as well. Just after that incident took place, OnePlus had sent a statement:

“We have been in touch with the customer and have tested a software update that has resolved the issue. We will be rolling out the software update shortly.”

Well, Now it seems OnePlus has sorted out the issue as they have started sending a new update arriving as the OxygenOS 4.5.6 to fix the issue. As always, this OTA update is being rolled out incrementally, means it will cover all the OnePlus 5 devices all around the world. As of now, the update is available for a small percentage of users, but it should be pushed soon to all the remaining users.
