Huawei Mate 10 series is not so far away to be official. Recently, Evan Blass tweeted, it could even be renamed to “Mate X”. Rumor mills for the upcoming Huawei devices are in full swing. Now, the company officially posted a video on Twitter by stating “This is not a smartphone, this is an intelligent machine.”, by pointing out its AI capabilities.

You might be aware of, HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC powering the all those Mate 10 devices, that was launched with world’s first AI chip with a dedicated NPU. Undoubtedly, AI is the future of tech industry and Huawei is trying to go beyond to its rivals. Embedded video on the Twitter post also confirms metal frames, Dual vertical real camera, and iris scanner or something related to face scanning as an extra layer of security. To recall, Mate 10 smartphones are scheduled to announce on October 16 in Germany.

The Mate X Pro, codenamed as Blanc, expected to feature 5.99-inch (2880 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD+ IPS display, Android Oreo with Emotion UI 6.0, 4,200 mAh battery and IP68 rated water and dust resistant 7.5-millimeters thick body. Further, the optics department will be taken care by 20MP (Monochrome) + 12MP (RGB) Dual rear cameras with Leica lenses, f/1.6 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, Laser AF, OIS and an 8MP shooter on the front to capture selfies. The storage will be either 64GB or 128GB combining with 6GB of RAM.
The rear camera is expected to be 20MP (Monochrome) + 12MP (RGB) Dual rear cameras with Leica lenses, f/1.6 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, Laser AF, OIS and an 8MP shooter on the front to capture selfies. The storage will be either 64GB or 128GB with 6GB of RAM. Besides, Mate standard Mate 10 can follow the same pattern regarding optics.
Mate X, with the codename Alps, supposed to bring 5.88-inch 2,560 x 1440p IPS display with traditional 16:9 aspect ratio. It will have 4GB RAM coupled with the only 64GB storage option. The battery capacity is 4,000 mAh battery, but with slightly thicker 8.23-millimeter dimension. When it comes to connectivity, Blanc or Mate 10 Pro will use faster LTE Cat. 16 modem whereas, Lite variant will be shipped with LTE Cat. 12 modem.
Huawei Mate X Lite with codename Rhone is said to be Huawei Maimang 6’s global version. If this happens true, it should bring a 5.9-inch (2160 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 18:9 ratio display, 64GB inbuilt storage coupled with 4GB RAM, 3,340 mAh battery, Android 7.0, 13MP + 2MP and 16MP + 2MP rear front facing camera combo. It will have Kirin 659 2.36GHz octa-core processor coupled with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU.
