Today, one launches in India, its flagship of 2017 called OnePlus 5 whereas it has already been launched globally couple of days ago. The device comes with top notch specifications as expected from a true flagship.

To recall, the OnePlus 5 features a 5.5 inch 1080p Optic AMOLED Full HD display panel on front, protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on it. It is powered by by Qualcomm’s most powerful processor, Snapdragon 835 with Adreno 540 GPU. As for optics, first time OnePlus chose to go with dual rear cameras: first one 6 MP sensor with an ƒ/1.7 aperture, and another 20 MP telephoto lens with an ƒ/2.6 aperture. The company claims, it is highest resolution dual camera on any smartphone. The Secondary telephoto lens helps to generate great bokeh effects with digital zoom.
Furthermore, the handset comes by packing 3300 mAh battery to keep the light on with dash charger to charge battery quickly. On software side, it is running on Oxygen OS based on Android 7.1.1, Nougat out of the box. In terms of storage, it has two variants: one with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage whereas 2nd variant packs a massive 8GB RAM with 128GB internal UFS 2.1 fastest storage but no micro SD slot. but, i think Storage should be more than enough for moderate to heavy users. Other connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac , Bluetooth 5.0 aptX HD, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, USB Type-C and NFC. Overall, the handset looks very promising unless you are not so big fan of VR since it does no support higher resolution display. Except display, everything else is just perfect with very powerful hardware built in.

The OnePlus 5 is priced at Rs. 32,990 for base 64GB Storage and 6GB variant whereas higher 8GB RAM and 128GB built in storage costs Rs. 37,990 in India. It comes in Midnight Black and Slate Grey color options with unibody metal design. It will be available for purchase via Amazon.in starting from today 4.30 PM onward.
