OnePlus 5T has been finally unleashed at an event in Brooklyn, New York. The device brings same specifications as it had earlier speculated. The OnePlus 5T features 6.01-inch Full HD+ Optic AMOLED Display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 80.5% screen-to-body ratio (claimed by the company), compared to 5.5-inch AMOLED display on OnePlus 5.
The device is having same Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor paired with Adreno 540 GPU. As far as optics are concerned, there is nothing new to see except f/1.7 aperture on the secondary rear camera, matching with the main sensor. It boasts dual 16MP (Sony IMX398) + 20MP (Sony IMX376K ) rear cameras with EIS support to stabilize video with f/1.7 aperture on both. On the front side, a 16MP front-facing camera with Sony IMX371 sensor is citing with 1.0μm pixel size, f/2.0 aperture.
The headset runs on Android 7.1.2 based on company’s custom Oxygen OS 4.7. It has two variants offering 64GB and 128GB internal storage combined with either 6GB and 8GB LPDDR4x RAM respectively. So, there shouldn’t be any issue regarding the storage, even it doesn’t have the option to expend the storage. The device is backed by 3300mAh battery with Dash Charge support.
It measures 156.1 x 75 x 7.3 mm and weighs 162 grams. Other connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 aptX HD, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, USB 2.0 Type-C, and NFC. The fingerprint sensor is now moved to back to save some space up due to bezel-less display (not truly).
