Sony has finally announced its much-awaited flagship called Xperia XZ3 at IFA 2018 event. There is nothing exception except the curved display, witnessing first time on any Xperia device. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s most powerful processor till date called Snapdragon 845 coupled with Adreno 630 GPU.
The device carries a 6-inch QHD+ (1440 x 2980 pixels) P-OLED 18:9 ratio curved-edges display, protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Unlike the XZ Premium, the device holds a single rear camera with 19MP, f/2.0 sensor featuring 1.22μm pixel size, Predictive capture, 5-axis stabilization, 4K video recording, and 960fps slow-motion video. On the front, it has a 13 MP shooter with 22mm wide-angle lens, and f/2.0 aperture. Primarily, the sony is the market leader in terms of manufacturing camera lenses, therefore, the camera should be adequate to capture casual photography.
Moreover, it packs a 3,300 mAh non-removable battery paired with Quick Charge 3.0 and Qi-enabled Wireless charging. Considering the storage, the handset allows up to 64 GB of internal storage combined with 4 GB of RAM, which stands no-where considering the other flagships available in the market, but it can be expended up to 400 GB via external micro SD slot. The phone measurements are 158 x 73 x 9.9 mm and weighs 193 grams. Other connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (dual-band) , Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with GLONASS, NFC, and Type-C port. As for OS, the Xperia XZ3 runs on Android 9.0, Pie based company’s own custom UI out of the box.
Pricing and Availability
The Sony Xperia XZ3 is priced at £699 or roughly translated into US$900 / 63,500 INR and comes in Black, Silver White, Forest Green and Bordeaux Red color options. As far as availability is concerned, the device will start selling in selective markets starting from next month, whereas fixed date yet to announce by the company.
