Update: Seems like LG V40 enrolls for the FCC as Well. A device with model number LM-V405UA gets a certificate from FCC, and it could be USA variant of LG V40 given that it supports all the LTE bands of major US carriers.
LG V40 ThinQ is the company’s upcoming flagship and recently, we have met with a few render images revealing the design of the device. Now, the successor of LG V30 seems to start collecting certificates. A device with model number LM-V405UA receives a certificate from Global Certification Forum (GCF) with a codename Storm Plus, presumed to be one of the LG V40 variants. This listing doesn’t reveal anything special except the support of LTE Cat.18, which is well capable of providing up to 1.2Gbps of download speed.
In a separate listing, the device with model number LM-V409N got certified by Korea’s National Radio Research agency (NRR via 91mobiles) and surmised to be the LG V40 ThinkQ Korean variant. Similar to the previous certificate, this listing also doesn’t disclose any specifications of the anticipated device except the 4G LTE support. As of now, there isn’t anything official, these are initial speculations.
Going with the recent rumors, the device is speculated to arrive with 6.3-inch 3120 x 1440 pixels QHD+ display, Snapdragon 845 processor, triple rear cameras, Qual-DAC, and 3.5mm audio jack. The device is rumored to be official on November 16. Therefore, it will be interesting to see what actually the LG V40 ThinQ offers.
