Finally, Xiaomi has launched Mi 5X smartphone in a launch event as expected. However, there is nothing special except the camera, basically an improved version of note 4x (Known as Redmi Note 4 in India) with better camera specs onboard.
The handset is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor paired with Adreno 506 GPU. It runs on Android 7.1.1 based MIUI 9 which brings some notable improvements over MIUI 8 skin such as built-in Image Search, Smart Assistant new file explorer and several more. We will talk later about the MIUI 9 in a separate article.
Regarding the storage, it comes with 64GB internal storage coupled with 4GB RAM; There is an option available to expand the storage further if you feel you have not enough space to store multiple files. It has given 3080 mAh battery which should be enough to last full day of heavy to moderate usage. As for optics, the handset boasts dual 12MP rear camera sensors similar to Mi 6. In camera department the device looks sturdy. on the front, it has got a 5MP shooter to capture selfies.

Pricing and Availability
As far as pricing is concerned, The Mi 5X priced at 1,499 Yuan (approx. Rs. 13,000 or USD$ 200) and comes in Black, Gold and Rose Gold color option. It will be available for sale in China starting from August 1st whereas no details are provided regarding its availability in other parts of the world. Hopefully, Xiaomi will roll out soon from outside China, at least its key market India.
