Yesterday Pixel 2’s images posted by Evan Blass leaves us in wonder. Everybody was expecting a bezel-less phone (Every device seems mediocre after seeing Samsung’s latest design 😀 ) or even minimal bezels. but the story tells an entirely different side of the device. In this post, we will be comparing Pixel vs Pixel 2 design together. Without any further ado, let’s get started:
Pixel vs Pixel 2 Design Comparison
The rear portion of the device looks actually very near to the last year’s pixel phone. As you can see from the image, those subtle design tweaks are the shrinking of the back glass plate to above the fingerprint reader which indeed gives a refined look to the device. The Camera module is another significant change that we have noticed; which looks pretty large than its predecessor. Remaining size is relatively comparable; Google branding is given at the rear bottom.
On the front side, No visible change can be observed, But we would have dual front-firing speakers according to leak image. As HTC is the manufacturer, We can expect HTC Boom Sound to be implemented to provide immersive sound experience. The design looks almost unchanged with thick edges presented at top and bottom. Apparently, The corner of the device actually appears to become square. Apart from that, Volume rockers and power button are placed on right side of the device, similar to its predecessor and the dimensions somehow remain same.
All in all, The design of the device is not that great as we were expecting. However, this is not the final layout. Hopefully, Google will do something new to capture the market. Undoubtfully; we will have the latest hardware included Snapdragon 835 processor, But the look of device matters a lot for most of the people. What are your opinions about the design?
