There is no doubt that Huawei is working on next gen. Huawei Mate 20 series. These devices are confirmed to arrive with a powerful hardware and highly power efficient chip Kirin 980, that is speculated to be built on TSMC’s 7nm architecture. Now the company officially indicates to implement next-generation Super Charge Technology on its forthcoming Mate20 series.
At Huawei we are invested in upgrading our charging technology – In addition to our 4000mAh battery, we introduced fast charge in 2015, #HUAWEISuperCharge in 2016, and in 2017 & 2018 we were awarded the UVX safe certificate. pic.twitter.com/0KmN5lABnq

To recall, Huawei recently launched the P20 series with shipping 22.5W power adaptor, but the latest exposure claims to go even further. A couple of months ago, the company had found testing a 40W power adapter with model number HW-100400C00, spotted on the 3C certification site. The mentioned adapter supports up to 10V==4A (40W). So, we are supposing to replace it with the current 22W charger. But, the interesting fact is that Earlier, in 2016, the company had launched Honor Magic with a whopping 40W (5V==8A) charger when no other manufacturer was even thinking to do that. However, the current technology is much different than the old one and allows to charge the device more quickly.

In the current scenario, every smartphone manufacturer is trying to provide high-speed charging. From Oppo’s VOOC charging to OnePlus’s Dash Charging, the smartphone industry has evaluated tremendously in terms of quick charging. Oppo has already introduced Oppo Find X Special Edtion with 50W charger and Huawei is following the same path. If the Huawei bundles a 40W charger along with Mate 20 series there would be nothing surprising.
