Oppo today launched a new smartphone called A71 (2018) in India as expected. It is a successor of Oppo A71, that was launched last year in September month. It will worth noting that the handset has been already launched in Pakistan and Taiwan.
Moving to specs, unfortunately, there aren’t many changes in this department compared to its predecessor. The Oppo A71 (2018) comes with a 5.2-inch HD display, Android 7.1 (Nougat) OS with ColorOS on top, 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. This time the smartphone gets Snapdragon 450 instead of MediaTek MT6750 SoC.
It comes with 16 GB internal storage coupled with 3 GB of RAM having dual SIM support and 3,000 mAh non-removable battery to keep the lights on. The device measurements are 143.1 x 73.8 x 7.6mm and weighs 137g. It does not have the fingerprint sensor, which is clearly a big con considering the market competition, where an Rs. 5,000 phones get this option. Othe connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS.
