Sony announced a new budget segment smartphone called Xperia L1. It is powered by MediaTek MT6737T chipset with 4x 1.45GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. It features a 5.5-inch HD display with narrow side bezels. It runs on latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. For optics, it has a 13-megapixel camera with f2.2 aperture and on the front is a 5-megapixel camera with 24mm wide-angle lens and f2.2 aperture. In terms of storage, It comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD slot.
The Xperia L1 has dual SIM support and also there is a dedicated microSD slot. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.2 with aptX, NFC, A-GPS, GLONASS, and USB Type-C. It packs a 2620 mAh battery to keep the lights on.

The Sony Xperia L1 will be available in Black, White and Pink colors. No information regarding price provided by the company. It will go on sale in North America in April of this year. It will also be available in markets such as Middle East.
