Apple has just announced the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, as it was expected. The iPhone 8 and 8 plus both are very identical in terms of design and display to last year’s iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The iPhone 8 features a 4.7-inch display and 8 plus arrives with a 5.5-inch display similar to their predecessors.

What we got new is the biogenic A11 chip that is powered by Hexa-core. Apple claims that it has 70% faster multitasking and 30% better GPU. Apart from that, it brings wireless charging on both the new iPhones, Directive games for seamless augmented reality (AI) experience.

Both the iPhones are made of with a series 7000 aluminum body and a glass front, which claims to be most durable glass on any smartphone. When it comes to optics, The iPhone has a single 12MP rear camera whereas iPhones 8 plus boasts dual rear cameras; one with 12MP f/1.8 + secondary 12MP f/2.8 telephoto lens with similar implementations as we saw on the iPhone 7 Plus including portrait mode.

The good thing is that both the iPhones are capable to record whooping 4k video @60FPS and slo-mo can be captured with 1080p @240FPS. All in all, these new iPhones get a measurable upgrade in terms of hardware but with a same old look which we have been seeing from decades.

The phones come with two separate storage variants:  64GB and  256GB model with double the storage over there predecessors. The 64GB iPhone 8 priced at $699, the 64GB iPhone 8 Plus at $799. The Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus go on pre-order on September 15 and on sale on September 22.
