Apple has finally announced its upgraded tablet lineup for 2018 with iPad Pro 11 and iPad Pro 12.9 respectively. Both the iPads get a whole new design with thinners bezels and removed Touch ID following the iPhone series. The Touch ID is replaced by the Face ID to unlock the device safely.
The iPhone Pro 11 brings with an 11-inch 1668 x 2388 pixels Liquid Retina display with rounded corners, whereas, iPad Pro 12.9 packs a larger 12.9-inch 2048 x 2732 pixels panel using the same screen technology. Still, the Apple is using 4:3 aspect ratio on the new Pro line-up, which isn’t convenient that much when it comes to multimedia consumption. Both have a 12MP snapper on the back and a 7MP selfie shooter on the front. Both of these are running iOS 12 out of the box.
The iPad Pro 2018 series is powered by the powerful Apple A12X Bionic chipset under the hood coupled with a 7 cores graphics card to take care of graphics-intensive tasks. The company claims that Apple says it’s more powerful than 92% of laptops out there in the market and running the full-blown versions of Adobe Photoshop and Autodesk AutoCAD. As per the company, these devices are easily transformable to the laptop by using simple equipment like a keyboard or an external monitor is also usable to replace it with your desktop. The company is supplying USB Type-C cable to charge the unspecified (capacity) batteries, also both models support reversible charging to charge other devices.
Pricing and Availability
The iPad Pro 11″ model price starts at $799 for base variant and goes up to $1,499 for the 1TB storage variant. On the other hand, the bigger 12.9″ version costs $999 for the base 64GB storage variant and goes up to $1,749 for the 1TB storage variant. The two iPad models are supplies in 64/256/512GB or 1TB storage options, now it depends up to you which variant you choose if you are interested in buying these powerful devices.
As far as availability is concerned, both the models are already up for pre-orders in the USA and will start shipping from November 9 across the country. These two have both WiFi and LTE Models and add more 150$ in the standard cost if you are looking to pick up LTE variants. Furthermore, the new Smart Folio case for the 11-inch model is priced at 179$, which goes up to 199$ for the 12.9-inch variant. The upgraded Apple pencil is priced at 129$.
